Frédéric BOUSQUET decided in 1997 to transfer the technologies and materials of the aeronautical industry to the production of sound generators. In 2018, he designed the first musical instrument entirely made of aeronautical titanium. An explorer of the world of sound, a master craftsman in contemporary instrument making, an author, a composer, a world specialist in euphone, a pioneer in digital mixed music, he is regularly invited to prestigious national and international festivals.
He performs in major heritage venues (Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Korea, Latvia, Morocco, Romania, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States). Artist in residence at the Laborie Foundation in Limousin from 2009 to 2013, associated artist at the Genette Verte theatre in Florac (48) from 2018 to 2021, around the « Sound Arts Immersion » program, he is the author in 2021 of a method in sound pedagogy published by Lugdivine.
As a polistylistic euphone player, he rediscovers the original repertoire of his instrument and participates in the creation of a large repertoire, particularly in connection with the creation of contemporary and intermedia music. He performs a number of transcriptions and adaptations spanning seven centuries of musical creation. A member of the Hope ensemble since 1994, a founding member in 2018 and artistic director of the INVENTOR ensemble - ambassador of innovative instrument making -, he is involved in numerous collaborations, in connection with new technologies, sound aesthetics and the most varied arts. He invented PROSPECTIVE MUSIC to support his commitment to sound ecology and accessibility to the world of sound for all.
